In December 2005 OmniTester Corporation ceased operations and the assets of the company were subsequently acquired by Cirris Systems. During the ensuing years Cirris has provided technical assistance and replacement parts for users of OmniTester equipment. While many companies have made the decision to replace their OmniTester units with comparable Cirris testers that provide current features and which are more readily supported, there are still some diehard Omni users out there. While we’re still pleased to provide technical assistance for these diehards, unfortunately it is no longer possible to provide replacement parts as many electronic components used in the OmniTester designs are no longer available. Therefore, if you’re still using an old OmniTester system, the time is ripe to plan for its replacement. The Cirris product line includes testers that match the capabilities of the various OmniTester units while meeting or exceeding almost all of their specifications. Additionally, you’ll find the new equipment easier to use and, of course, more reliable.
