Application: Device Activation

External energization capability, also referred to EE or stimulus, is an option that can be added to Series 2500 test systems. This feature allows the tester to apply voltage from an external power supply to the product being tested under program control.

A typical use for this capability is the actuation of relays in the product. Normally a relay test would follow this simple sequence:

Other external energization applications include lighting LED’s for visual confirmation, activating alarms, turning on fans etc.

In addition to external energization capability, OmniTester has also provided embedded PLC drivers and other application specific software enhancements for these manufacturers.

Products suitable for device activation applications:

The Omni2501 is applicable for continuity, high voltage insulation resistance, capacitance and passive component testing.
