One of the most difficult issues facing test engineers designing test processes for outside plant telecommunications hardware is developing reliable and durable adapters to mate the tester to telecom specific connectors. OmniTester has introduced flexible test fixtures that address this issue for the MS2 and 710 connectors, and for tip and ring protector modules. The fixtures for the MS2 and 710 connectors provide an interface back to the tester. The tip and ring module adapters are available with an interface back to the tester, or as shorting blocks that enable signals to pass through the module for testing purposes.
